Bumpy Knuckles aka Freddie Foxxx | Interview

Bumpy Knuckles, aka Freddie Foxxx, is an emcee from Long Island, NY. At age 10, he recorded his 1986 debut as Freddie C on a 12″ by Surpeme Force. In 1989, he released the album Freddie Foxxx Is Here, produced entirely by Eric B. After appearances on records with Kool G Rap & DJ Polo, Boogie Down Productions, and Naughty By Nature, Bumpy recorded Crazy Like A Foxxx in 1994. He later collaborated with Gang Starr and M.O.P. before starting his own label, Kjac, and receiving distribution in 2000 for his second official album, Industry Shakedown. With production from DJ Premier, Diamond D, and Pete Rock, the album was a success, leading into Bumpy’s third official album in 2003, The Konexion. In 2012, Bumpy has released collaboration albums with DJ Premier and Statik Selektah.
