Hank McCoy | Interview
Born and raised in the Pennsylvania suburbs, Hank McCoy developed an interest in music at age 14, after the release of Jay-Z’s album The Blueprint. In 2006, Hank decided to pursue a career in music production, purchased the equipment, and began producing primarily for a local Philly artist known as Chill Moody. In 2007, Hank McCoy was featured multiple times on Moody’s 2006 mixtape, Street Cleaning. Hank released two mixtapes with Moody, And They Love Us Back (2010) and And They Still Love Us Back (2011). In 2011, Hank released an instrumental project, Hank McCoy Beats Vol. 1. At the end of the year, Hank will release the first installment of Danger Room, a series of EPs produced by Hank McCoy, featuring a different emcee for each volume.
