J The S | Interview

Born in Massachusetts, J The S split his time between Montserrat and Nevis in the West Indies until age five. Arriving in Boston as a teenager, J began his rapping in the local battle scene. His music reflects his own life experiences, from the criminal underworld events as a child, to the street mentality as an adult. His work as a teacher in Boston reflects an intelligence and depth that defies his young age. J has released four singles that have jumped to the number one spot on the national college radio charts, making him a constant presence on respected web sites. His 2006 album, Strategy Of The Crown, was the first in a series of releases, followed by Year Of The Snake Vol. 1, Year Of The Snake Vol. 2, When In Rome, and My Will. As a precursor to the release of The Last Days album, J The S released Wish You Were Here, an album of original material and collaborations with Nipsey Hussle, Jadakiss, Crooked I, and more.
