LMNO (The Visionaries) | Interview

From Long Beach, CA, LMNO was introduced to hip hop in the early 80s, and has emerged as one of the most prolific artists in music today. He witnessed the NWA legacy and birth of west coast hip hop, as well as appearing in The D.O.C.’s music video for the song, “Formula” with Dr. Dre and Eazy E. LMNO’s career launched after collaborating with Circle Of Power and a feature on KeyKool & Rhettmatic’s posse cut, “E=MC5”, with Ras Kass. As a member of The Visionaries, LMNO contributed to four albums with the group and released his debut solo album in 2001, Leave My Name Out. He has released four more acclaimed solo albums, as well as a collaboration album in 2008 with producer Kev Brown, Selective Hearing. In 2010, LMNO released a group of 10 albums on Up Above Records. Production was handled by Kev Brown, Mr. Brady, DJ Babu, and more. The project featured Declaime, MED, Wildchild, Evidence, Kenn Starr, Chali 2na, Hassaan Mackey, Luckyiam, 2Mex, and more. In 2011, LMNO released the album, Born Again.
