Nottz Raw | Interview
Nottz Raw is an emcee and hip hop producer from Norfolk, VA. He has produced for Kanye West, Snoop Dogg, The Notorious B.I.G., Scarface, J. Dilla, and more. His earliest production work was featured in 1998 on Rawkus Records and Lyricist Lounge Vol. 1. Busta Rhymes heard Nottz’s beat tape and included three tracks from Nottz on the album Extinction Level Event. Nottz released an album in 2005 with his group D.M.P. called Nottz Presents D.M.P. In 2010, he worked on Rah Digga’s album, Classic, and released his debut solo album, You Need This Music, with features from Dwele, Joell Ortiz, Snoop Dogg, Royce Da 5’9″, Bilal, and more. That same year, the collaborative EP with Asher Roth was released, Rawth EP. In 2011, Nottz worked on The Game’s album, The R.E.D. Album, after having placements on prior albums Doctor’s Advocate and LAX. In 2012, Nottz and Kardinal Offishall released the album, Allow Me To Re-Introduce Myself.
