Spit The Fifth | Interview
From Long Beach, CA, Spit The Fifth grew up listening to The Beastie Boys and Run DMC. Being exposed to graffiti crews like DE and KBH, Spit appreciates the underground culture which encompasses the essence of quality hip hop. In junior high, he found his own identity to create music after listening to The Wu-Tang Clan, Big L, Camp Lo, The Visionaries, Jurassic 5, and Dilated Peoples. At age 17, Spit completed a four song demo that caught the ear of Swiss Precise, founding member of both DE and KBH. In 2002,, Spit joined KBH. In 2008, he released an album titled 6-Midnight. He also produced an instrumental album called Samples & Drum Pads. Spit is currently finishing his official debut studio album titled Working Class with production from Sirplus, mixed by DJ JabbaThaKut, and features from Swiss Precise, Compound, and E-White.
