Abstract Rude | Interview
Abstract Rude is an emcee from Los Angeles, CA. His talent was recognized by Fat Jack in the early 90s, and Ab became a regular of the hip hop workshop at The Good Life Cafe as part of Project Blowed. Ab handed a tape to Mike D of The Beastie Boys which led to a mixtape on Grand Royal called Mixed Drink. Ab co-founded the Project Blowed workshop, which became the longest running open mic youth workshop in the world. He then co-executive produced a compilation album called Project Blowed, which highlights artistic creativity of a scene known best for gangsta rap. As one half of The A-Team, one third of Haiku D’Etat, and frontman of Abstract Tribe Unique, Ab has re-emerged with Rhymesayers Entertainment. In 2009, he released the album, Rejuvenation, produced by Vitamin D.
