Big Wiz | Interview
Big Wiz is an emcee from Minneapolis, MN. He has studied hip hop beginning in the 80s and began freestyling in the 90s, later forming a group with long-tume friend Tony Bones. In 2002, Big Wiz founded Long Doe Records. The label has produced 9 studio albums and has been featured on media platforms around the region. In 2009, Wiz released his solo album, Words Of Wizdom, followed by (The Bridge) Ain’t Goin’ Down in 2010. In 2013, he released The Highs & Lows Of Nic Swisher and later recorded a collaborative album, Vintage Cloth, with label-mate Mike The Martyr, and another, Glass Half Full, with Unknown Prophets emcee and producer Big Jess. Additionally, Wiz has collaborated with Bizzy Bone, Triple Seis, A.G., Kool G Rap, Twista, Devin The Dude, and many others.
