Boog Brown | Interview
Boog Brown is an emcee and poet from Detroit, MI. She began writing at age 15, amassing to two books of poetry, called Swimming Against The Current State Of Mind: My Life In Words and Black Tie Fish Fry. In 2007, Boog released her debut mixtape, Extended Play. In 2010, she released the mixtape, The Grind Season Vol. 1. That same year, she collaborated with Detroit producer Apollo Brown to released the album, The Brown Study, calling it her “most vulnerable” musical expression. A remixed version of the album was released the following year. In 2012, Boog released the album, Dope Girl Magic, and has since been collaborating with many talented hip hop artists while being featured on many popular media outlets.
