Emilio Rojas | Interview
Emilio Rojas is an emcee from Rochester, NY. He grew up in an inner-city neighborhood with a Venezuelan father and an American mother. After building a buzz as Raks One in the local college hip hop scene at the University of Rochester, Emilio dropped out of school to pursue a music career. In 2004, he toured overseas with Canadian producer Muneshine. In 2005, Emilio sold everything he owned and moved to Brooklyn. He began performing at open mics around NYC. He released two mixtape with DJ Green Lantern, The Natural (2009) and Life Without Shame (2011), which feature production and guest appearances from multi-platinum and Grammy winning producers and artists such as Boi-1da, Nottz Raw, B.o.B., Styles P, Killer Mike, Yelawolf, and more.
