Kenyattah Black | Interview
Kenyattah Black is an emcee from Brooklyn, NY. As an early member of Rawkus Records, long before the days of Soundbombing, he designed the razor logo that the record label eventually used as their trademark symbol. Kenyattah became good friends with John Forté, who was the A&R for Rawkus. In 1996, Forté took Kenyattah on tour with The Fugees, all along the east coast. In 1998, Kenyattah left Rawkus to promote the Smoking Grooves Tour, headlined by Public Enemy, Cypress Hill, Wyclef Jean, Mya, Busta Rhymes, Gang Starr, and more. Kenyattah has a long history for former Definitive Jux member Vast Aire of Cannibal Ox. The two have teamed up under the group name Crimson Gods, in which you can expect upcoming music.
