From Toronto, ON, Organik began rhyming at age of 18, with influences such as The Wu-Tang Clan and Big L. He entered as many battles, cyphers, and local competitions as possible. Organik has won BET’s 2006 & 2008 Canadian Spring Bling, Amp’d Mobile’s Battle Of The Headz, and is a three year champion of Change Promotion’s Battle King events. In 2007, Organik competed in the JumpOff World Rap Championships with rhyming partner Knamelis, where he gained notoriety for being one of Toronto’s most skilled emcees. In 2008, Organik founded King Of The Dot, where emcees would compete in a series of rap battles in the city of Toronto. Now known as Canada’s premier rap battle league, KOTD has been recognized by Drake, Sean Price, The Alchemist, Choclair, Canibus, Jeru The Damaja, and more. KOTD has expanded beyond Toronto, with divisions across Canada, giving emcees the opportunity to prove themselves in Montreal, Vancouver, Calgary, and Ottawa. The events additionally feature beat box battles, DJ battles, producer battles, graffiti competitions, and b-boy battles. KOTD is renowned for its quality product and professional organization worldwide, with battlers from countries around the world are eager to visit Canada and be featured in the annual World Domination event.
