What Inspires Block McCloud

Block McCloud is an emcee and singer from Brooklyn, NY. His father was a popular salsa singer who influenced Block to perform in street festivals at age 8. After hearing “Rapper’s Delight”, he was hooked on hip hop music, and formed the group Zooty Zoo in the 90s. He later appeared on the Lyricst Lounge Vol. 1 compilation album from Rawkus Records. Block formed the underground hip hop group Brooklyn Academy with Pumpkinhead and Mr. Metaphor, releasing several albums. In 2004, Block released his first album, I Was Drunk When I Made This. The album features Jean Grae, PH, Vinnie Paz, and Immortal Technique. In 2006, Block released his official debut solo album, Spittin’ Image, with features from Sean Price, Killah Priest, and more. He featured on the Army Of The Pharaohs’ 2010 album, The Unholy Terror, and released the Crazy Man EP in 2011. In 2012, he released the Four Walls album with features from Reef The Lost Cauze, R.A. The Rugged Man, Celph Titled, Vinnie Paz, and many more.
